Hello. On April 30, I had a vaginal sling implanted by a very reputable urologist. All went well, but since then, I've had A LOT of trouble voiding on my own, and I need to catheterize myself 3 times daily to empty my bladder. By the end of the workday, I am in "pain" from having a full bladder, and my back hurts sometimes. I am told that this is due to swelling internally, and it is very normal for this time. What I'd like to know is, Is there anything I can do to bring down the swelling? I have just started (3 days ago) taking the prescription Flomax. I'm seeing a bit of swelling in my feet and ankles, tho. I'd like to reduce this swelling inside my body so I can resume a normal likestyle. If this internal swelling IS normal, how long is it normal for? Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thank You.
