the myomectomy removed a 1 pound massive fibroid in my uterine wall in september 2010. during the first year after surgery, my periods became lighter and way better. i started eating meats (except red), dairy and i noticed that my periods would get a little heavier b/c of the foods i ate. i'm not a heavy meat eater in general, but since i moved to nyc, i started eating a lot of chicken & pork - particularly chinese pork dumplings and other foods which i had generally stayed away from. i noticed again that the periods would get difficult but this time i an awful debilitating pain at the site of the mymectomy came after eating these foods. the pain radiates through my abdomen and into my back and leg. it's hard to walk, move, sit, stand and the area where i had the surgery feels very hot - it radiates heat like i have some sort of infection.
i have now completely given up all meats & dairy and am now a vegetarian with occasional fish. i stay away from all chinese foods & anything w/ MSG.
What i have noticed now is whenever i have ANY alcohol - from beer, to wines to coctails, the pain redoubles in the area. i'm not a huge alcohol drinker, but the pain is immediate when i drink. what's that about?
is my body now permanently allergic to these things? i know i have small fibroids that are near my fallopian tube (the surgeon said it's best to leave them b/c they're too close to the tubes).
why does it hurt so much in the area where i had the old tumor removed when i ingest alcohol, meats, dairy, msg laced foods?? it couldn't be infection this long after surgery, could it? have you heard of such a thing? are there other women out there who've noticed that their uterus' react to certain foods?
i just turned 35 and don't want to have another myomectomy. i want to have children first.
my god... i just want to have a healthy body...
