Then, the results came unsatisfactory because there wasn't enough cells. I had to go for a second pap smear and the gynecologist used a metal spatula device to get more cells. Then, the second results came and the nurse told me that I had a yeast infection. I was wondering if the yeast infection can cause the pap smear to hurt or if it is due to the fact that I never had sex. Does a yeast infection cause irritation?
