Hello. I am currently 35 weeks 1 day pregnant with my first child. I have been reading numerous books (What to Expect..., etc.) and I have noticed that I am experiencing things that would typically happen later in a pregnancy, but I find it really hard to believe that I am further along. I had a regular menstrual period on October 17th, then tried to conceive with my husband after that, took a pregnancy test a few days before my period in November (it was negative) and then my period came on November 14th, 2011, and it was a normal (heavy) flow with lots of clotting that lasted about 5/6 days. We tried to conceive again after my period and learned we were pregnant on December 14th, a few days after my period was expected. With all of this information, including the first-trimester dating ultrasound saying that I was roughly 6 weeks along (I had it at 8 weeks on January 5th, 2012), would it be at all possible for me to have gotten pregnant in October? All of my measurements correlate with my "pregnancy week" when they measure my belly, but now I am concerned that I may be 40 weeks along instead of 35 weeks and the doctors may not have realized it. So, based upon my periods being regular and the first trimester ultrasound, is it safe to say that I conceived AFTER November 14th? My ovulation time would have been between November 24th-December 2nd.
