Hello. I am a 28 year old female with no history of breast cancer in my family. Recently I noticed a pain in my right breast (between 9 and 12 o'clock.) I usually get pain in this area every month the week before my period. However, this time it was about two weeks before my period. After feeling the pain for a few days, I checked for any lumps. I found some sort of fatty feeling lump and went to my OBGYN. She believed that it was nothing serious, saying that she was 99.9% positive that it wasn't something bad, but wanted me to get an ultrasound just to be safe. The ultrasound showed a swollen lymph node. The radiologist was not concerned and said that it was most likely just my body fighting off an infection or virus. She said it was soft and round. I am a naturally anxious person, so I have been obsessing over it for days now. Even though 3 doctors have told me that it is nothing to worry about, I still can't stop thinking about it! Is it possible to have a swollen lymph node in your breast without it being something serious??
