Hello all! Hoping you can give some advice. I am BRCA2+ and am recovering from hyst. I am scheduled 10/8 for a skin sparing diep recon. I am not clear on what the skin sparing does, where my scars will be and i am getting implants following recovery.

due to the fact i dont have enough abdominal skin. I do not want a stacked recon. so my dr suggested impants after recovery. I cannot find any pictures of the sort and am desperate for help. I have been to my dr of course but my brain didnt seem to connect to everything he was saying. I guess i just need so advice, answers and maybe a source to pics. i see some pics show a vertical scar from the nipple down and then pics where the entire breast is scared with the flap. This is BILATERAL :) If anyone out there can help me i would so appreciate it. Sometimes i feel like i'm all alone...:(

Also one more qs how long was the recovery?
