Hi, I am a 29 year old, black female. I have had 6 surgeries due to complications from fibroids. My first surgery in 2008 was an excision of a prolapsed fibroid, followed by a hysteroscopy months later. I did well and no surgeries for 2 years. In 2011, it was discovered my tumors were back and I had one hysteroscopy that had to be stopped due to problems with fluid deficit. Months later my doctor performed the surgery (hysteroscopy) again. I was still having painful, heavy periods and was referred to an infertility specialist. I had a laparoscopic myomectomy in June 2012. It was discovered I had scar tissue and recently underwent lysis of scar tissue. During the surgery my doctor discovered I have other tumors, about 10 small, 2 cm tumors that were hiding behind the scar tissue. I really want to have a baby and not undergo a hysterectomy. What are my chances of having a successful pregnancy with this many surgeries? Is hysterectomy the better option for me at this point?
