I am a high risk HPV carrier and pregnant at the moment. My doctor told me to get a colposcopy, however if they do find cancerous cells they only treat them after i give birth, so what is the point of having it while I am pregnant?

I feel like this procedure is invasive and uncomfortable. Can HPV hurt my baby? what can I do to naturally get rid of HPV while I am pregnant? I do not have any warts as far as I know. It seems like conventional doctors don't know any other way of treating it besides sliding a part of the cervix which I feel like is also very invasive and I would like to avoid that as much as possible. I almost 27 years old and this is my first baby. I was diagnosed with hpv about 3 years ago.
