A few months ago I had a questionable pap and my Dr. ordered an HPV test which came back negative. Recently my husband had an affair and now since there is no male hpv test I am nervous about the possibility of getting hpv from him since I believe that I do not have the virus in my body and don't know if he may have picked it up from his partner. He on the other hand believes that the virus can lay dormant and not show up in testing until it becomes active. We did not have sex during the time of his affair or since. Could you please help settle this question so we can work on a plan? Thanks.
