I wanted to say that my vulvodynia, going on 8 years now was in part caused by type 1 diabetes. I'm on insulin now for 2 years and my symptoms although not gone are greatly improved. I had two very severe yeast infections and two doctors should have diagnosed it as should numerous other doctors from symptoms I had for several years leading up to dka. I could have avoided a medical emergency and permanent damage. At least my symptoms are improved. Still no intercourse/sexlife etc. I urge all of you to get tested for diabetes, buy your own meter and test and eat a low carb diet, no breads, potatoes etc. This may help you. Most doctors just don't have a clue and write us off as mental cases but something is really wrong, in my case it almost killed me. Scary stuff.
