Do you remember purchasing your first car? Chances are that it was a big financial decision. Cars are expensive, not just to buy or lease, but to insure, fill with gas, and keep running. However, more and more car shoppers are likening their car-buying experience to that of buying a cell phone, a much less expensive purchase.
According to the survey, nearly 60% of both men and women would like to change their vehicles as often as they change their cell phones, on average, every 21 months. Evidently, cars are becoming much less of a long-term investment than they had been in previous years.
Additionally, most consumers, when buying a new car, try to upgrade their models, just like a cell phone. Most men and women would choose to purchase a Mercedes-Benz or a BMW as opposed to a Dodge or Chrysler, which are seen as less desirable models.
