I was having a very difficult time with excessive bleeding. When I say excessive bleeding, I do not mean a bad period. I mean I couldn't get from the toilet to the sink without creating a puddle that was littered with clots. I thought I was dying. It was suggested that I consider a hysterectomy. That was really not something I was going to opt for. That seemed crazy aggressive. So I began to research to see if this had ever happened to anyone else. I found hundreds of stories. The one thing that seemed to be in common with these stories was the birth control pill. The second I figured this out, I immediately stopped taking the pill. The bleeding and clotting stopped within 24 -32 hours and never returned. I had a normal pap just a few months ago. Over 750,000 unnecessary hysterectomies are provided every year. Please, do as much research as possible prior to making that very final decision. Remember the same doctor that prescribed you the pill (its poison, get an IUD) is going to be the same doctor that recommends a hysterectomy. It is unlikely that he/she is going to say "Oh this is from that pill I put you on". Never just "Trust" anyone. You owe it to yourself to do your OWN research. I just remarried and decided to have a second round of children with my new husband. I am glad I can still have a decision in this matter.
