Hi, I am 43 years old. I went in for and ultrasound this morning because they found a cyst in my left breast under my armpit ares when I had my mammogram done about late September. They said they just wanted to do the ultrasound to make sure it was benign which they thought it was. So I got it done but I felt a lot of discomfort and pain in my left side under my armpit area . The pain has been off and on since I got my mammogram done a month and a half ago but its got more painful over time usually everyday now I feel pain there even when I sit down and I don't have to touch it to feel pain and it radiates all the way down my left side area but mostly in my left breast. They told me this morning they found a small lymph node that was swollen in the same area where the cyst was but the cyst wasn't there. So the radiologist looked at the results and then they said I should be fine so I shouldn't need another mammogram until next year. And while she was doing the ultrasound when she pushed down on my left breast to get a good image it really was painful than. So my question is should I still be concerned and get a second opinion or trust what the radiologist told the ultrasound lady that I should be just fine. Because like I was saying before my pain had got a lot worse since my mammogram so I confused on what to do from here. Are radiologist usually correct on what they find and there results? And should I go ahead and get a second opinion? If someone could help me out on what to do I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
