I'm 12 and most of the girls in my grade already have there period

Once I first learned about periods I thought I was going to get it right away. I still haven't got it! I know ever girl gets it but but I haven't and thoroughly this I'm super embarrassed to ask my mom. Yes I've had discharge but when's the latest it will come?
