Hello,
I had subtalar ankle fusion to my left ankle in 2012. In Feb of 2013 the pain returned.I have lost stability in the ankle and the pain encompasses the medial aspect of the ankle, the posterior aspect of the lateral ankle, the calf muscle( was woken up one night by a sharp stabbing pain in the muscle), the lateral muscle of the leg, and now in the knee. The ankle and foot are constanly swollen.I was told by several doctors that there was nothing can be done. A CT Scan revealed severe tedonist in three tendons, a bone spur, a chronic sprained ankle, and the tip of one of the screws is projecting into a joint. I lost my job due to the pain. Worked in a major hospital where I live as a medical physicist. I am soon going for an mri of the ankle(was like pulling teeth to get this done.) Can anything be done. I am tired of living in pain, not being able to walk and being afraid of falling( have problems with my balance due to my ankle.)
Regards,
Michael
