In the third week of my pill pack last month, I missed 2 pills in a row and had sex during that time. On the third day, I realized my mistake and doubled up, taking two pills per day for the next two days. I abstained from having sex for six days afterward, figured I was safe, and then had sex -- but I accidentally missed my pill that day, too. :(
I started a new pack once I finished my active pills, thus skipping the placebos. I've been having very light breakthrough bleeding for a couple weeks now ... Mostly brown, and recently a small streak of red, but nothing to fill up a pantyliner. It's been daily, but most of it just happens when I pee.
Should I take a urine test now, since it's been almost three weeks? Or should I wait? I have experienced cramping and some nausea, but I'm wondering if I just have a vaginal infection and that's confusing my symptoms. How high is my risk of pregnancy after missing those pills?
