In late July my mom was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer. She had six weeks of chemotherapy with a surgery to remove the tumors which included a fully hysterectomy and appendectomy. Now, (three months since her last scan which came back clear) the doctor found two masses of disease in her pelvic area, one spot on the left and the other on the right. It is inoperable and there's always the option of standard treatment but the rates for survival are the best. If she has the standard treatment, at best we are looking at 2 years for her to live. I'm curious to see what other suggestions are out there for alternative medicine or clinical trials. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for us as we make a plan of attack?
