I got my period right on time, April 6th, last month. I ovulated on the 20th/21st like normal. I engaged in sexual activity the afternoon of the 21st, but it was protected. Anyway, I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms but because I was worried about being pregnant I began taking First Response Early Result pregnancy tests on April 28th. I know that would be super early to get a result but it was a peace of mind kind of thing. On May 1st, I took my morning pregnancy test and it was still negative. Still no symptoms of pregnancy, either. I went to a party that evening (May 1st) and unfortunately got into a physical alteration with another woman, who punched me pretty hard on the lower abdomen (I actually had a bruise right above my crotch where my pubic bone is, so I think the majority of the "punch" was too low but it still worries me). That May 1st was on a Friday... I started having super light pink spotting two days later on Sunday afternoon (1-2 days before expected period) which is pretty normal, I always have light spotting the day before my period, but this particular spotting was off and on from 12:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon until I started my expected period on Tuesday. So Sunday, I had light pink spotting off and on, Saturday morning, woke up to red blood only when I wiped, went away by Saturday afternoon, then off and on light pink spotting until Tuesday morning when my regular flow began. I actually continued taking pregnancy tests every morning, even Tuesday morning right before the flow started and every single one of them was negative. I am really worried about this being a miscarriage, because although I typically spot the day before my period, it's just kind of weird that the spotting this month was so off and on and began a day earlier than usual. And I got my period on time. I have not had any severe cramping, and my period has been normal in regards to how heavy the flow is (moderately heavy but I am only changing a pad every few hours). I have been reading online that being punched in the stomach would not cause a miscarriage that early in pregnancy (even if I was pregnant, which was doubtful) but it is keeping me up at night with worry. I know that won't change anything, but I just would like to know if being punched in the stomach would actually end an early pregnancy. I cannot "go ask my doctor" because I do not have a regular gynecologist (I get my pap smears at Planned Parenthood).
Thank you.
