When Subway released a series of commercials featuring Jared Fogle, the man who lost a significant amount of weight by restricting his diet to sandwiches from their chain, it successfully established its reputation as a healthy fast food chain. Since these first commercials aired, Subway has continued to market itself as a healthy and nutritious alternative to other fast food chains. They’ve even used Olympic athletes in their television spots to push this image. While nobody can deny the success of their marketing efforts, two questions remain. Is Subway truly healthy?
