I'm 44 years old I had my tubal ligation and an ablation done in 2008 at the ssme time. After this my period was gone for about 3 years then returned very lightly but very regularly in timing. In the last 8 months its become irregular lasting a day to 6 and starting at strange times as little as 5 to 35 days apart at times then regular again. The last one I completely skipped. I am seeing someone and due to that I have taken 2 pregnancy tests both are negative. I have no symptoms that suggest pregnancy and I started getting periods at age 11 so I'm wondering if perimenopause may be starting? I did get slight cramps and few other usual symptoms around the time when my last period was expected but that's all.
