Hello!
Recently I got my period on Thursday morning, normal flow and everything. I usually get my menstrual cycle every month.
The problem was that on Friday morning I fainted. I didn't eat in the afternoon the day before and I forgot to eat that morning. Hours after I fainted I started to notice that my flow was starting to decrease, and I was noticing it even more today.
I did go to the hospital to get my blood and heart checked, and thankfully it was fine. They said I was dehydrated while on my period. From that time I barely drink a lot of fluids, and I don't eat a lot, which I know that I should change this. I've also asked this question to my doctor, whom I'll probably get a response from on Monday or so. But for now I need help.
I'm 20 years old, a few months shy from 21. My menstrual cycle has always been normal and lasts 6-7 days. Right now I'm unsure if it has stopped but the period is just getting lighter and slower (drops maybe). I am not sexually active at all, and I'm not on any medications. However I've been going through some dietary changes in the past few months due to my gallstones, and I've been under stress, anxiety, and sometimes panic.
The last time I fainted while on my period was 3 years ago, but that was post-hospital visit and I was being put on a liquid diet at the time.
Should I be worried about this? What does this mean? I appreciate all responses. Thank you, and have a great night!
