I have been on the Combination Pill birth control for over 8 years. I went to the dermatologist regarding my melasma this week and she told me to speak with my OBGYN about switching birth controls. My OBGYN prescribed me Progestin-Only Pill (Mini-Pill). I am supposed to start a new pack of my Combination Pill tomorrow. I read online that I should start the Mini-Pill after the last "active" pill on the Combination Pill pack. I have taken the full week of Placebo pills. Is it better for me to start the Mini-Pill tomorrow (rather than starting the first "active" pill of the Combination Pill), or should I continue using my Combination Pills for 3 weeks (taking all the active pills) then immediately starting the Mini-Pill after my last "active" Combination Pill? I don't care if the only difference is me being unprotected for 7 days, etc. I just want to do what is best in regards to hormone levels and my body. Thank you
