Women often get stuck into the role of "people pleaser." This can cause enormous problems for the woman.
Doing what others want, not taking care of her needs and trying to be "perfection."
Eventually she may fall into depression. I have treated women for years who slip into this problem. It seems we are programmed perhaps even in the womb to become the chameleon.
Fortunately once the woman begins to recognize when she falls into the "Miss Perfection" role, she can over time begin to change her behaviors.
Old habits change slowly, but eventually she succeeds in feeling better.
