I have a fungal infection in my big toe, and unfortunately it seems to be spreading to two other toes. I went to a dermatologist, and she recommended terbinafine (basically Lamisil, but under another brand) to take twice a day, seven days a week every 30 days.
However I take birth control (Gynera brand) and I am absolutely paranoid about getting pregnant. She said that this medication would 'least affect it' (her words) but I should still use other forms of protection, just in case, like condoms. I just wanted to know if Lamisil could possibly affect the efficiency of my birth control? and how much? should i possibly look to use a third form of birth control?
