I wanted to ask a question about emergency contraceptives - I am on Gedarel currently but missed a day, and so I was given Upostelle to take.
I'm wondering how long Upostelle stays in your system for? I've taken it within the 12hrs, but my next period is due in two days. My period doesn't normally start until the 3rd day, and I'm wondering if Upostelle will continue to be effective in preventing the release of the egg - considering that the sperm can live in a body for up to 5 days.
Should I continue to take the next two days worth of Gedarel tablets, and have the week's break as normal, will I be covered by Upostelle? Or would it be better to take three days extra worth of pills to ensure I am covered for at least five days, and then have a break?
