Hello, so basically I have been on Trinessa Lo since May 2016. Earlier this month, after all of my placebos were gone, I went to the pharmacy to pick up a new pack as I always did. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that my doctor needed an appointment with me after a year on birth control for the first time, so I couldn't pick up my prescription since it needed to be renewed by my gynocologist. I started to freak out since the next day, Sunday, I was supposed to start back on active pills. My mother contacted my gynocologist, and she sent through a one month dose of brevicon combination birth control for me to take until I could have an appointment with her. The reason I didn't get back on Trinessa was due to my insurance not covering it anymore. The gyno assured my mother that the brevicon would not diminish my protection, and that brevicon and Trinessa were equal in hormonal dosage. The next day, I began brevicon and everything went down hill. Upon taking brevicon, every single time I would get terribly nauseated, I was having headaches, and I was very moody. I couldn't handle it so I made an appointment after finishing a week of brevicon. My gyno put me back on trinessa, and told me to start Trinessa where I was with brevicon. I did that, and the nausea went away. 3 days into taking Trinessa, I had sex with a condom (as I always do) and afterwards I was lightly bleeding. The bleeding continued, varying from red to brown for about three days, fairly light but at one point I had to wear a thin pad. It stopped, and I've had no bleeding since. I take my pills perfectly, and I use condoms every time. Could the bleeding have been implantation? Or breakthrough bleeding? My period is due next Wednesday .. please help me
