Hi there, I'm a 32 yr old male and I live in Japan. I work in kindergarten with 2 yr old. On this last Tuesday I had what I thought was just the beginning of a cold. Stuck nose and sore tonsils. By Wednesday afternoon I had cramping in my hamstrings. By the time I got home I was cramping up in my lower back and in between my belly button and penis there was a painful burn sensation on the skin and a deep ache. That night the fever came on and I started peeing more than I was drinking. I was drinking a lot. I went to the hospital the next day and after some tests they ruled out bladder and kidney infection. I received antibiotics and fever reduction/pain reduction meds. I've been using them appropriately and when I take the fever pills I don't feel the pain in my cramping muscles which has now spread all over my body. Last night, since my fever wasn't high I didn't dose the fever meds and man did I find out the tribe lvl of pain I could be in. If I keep moving there is just an overall deep ache and clumsiness. If I lay down or down move the ache recedes to where I don't notice it. At that point I can feel the tension in my forearms and a feeling of slight swelling. The pain hits intensely when I move after the pain has subsided due to lack of movement. So moving in the night = deep and sharp pain that last for about 10 sec while I grunt and breathe. Is this a normal reaction to a fever? Shall I continue to take the fever meds even though it's at 37.8?
