Hello!
I have a question about my IUD. I recently (one week ago) got the Liletta inserted. The pain during insertion was, for me, the worst pain I have ever felt. Easily a 10/10, and this is coming from someone who has experienced a fair amount of pain (cracked ribs and the like). I almost fainted on the table.
Now, one week later, I continue to experience horrible cramping in waves. Cramping ranges from a bit worse than a period cramp (I get pretty awful period cramps) to the same level of pain as my insertion. I just now experienced a 10/10 cramp where I almost vomited and fainted at the same time.
I am concerned that this is not normal. I have read about cramps post-insertion, but these are so frequent and painful, that I'm worried that the insertion wasn't placed right. I've read things about the IUD slipping into your abdomen, or if your cervix is too small then things won't work. They had some issues inserting the IUD in the first place, which also leads me to worry.
Does anyone have any insight? Either a similar experience where it turned out OK or where something is wrong would really help me decide whether or not to go to the doctor.
thank you!
