Hello!
I am a little unsure of what is going on with my body, so I thought I'd throw my question to y'all. I am on the birth control pill Microgestin FE 1/20 and have been for about 10 months now. During hurricane Irma in September, I decided to skip my period week in the event that we lost power and running water during the storm (because who wants to be hot, crampy, bloated, and unable to shower properly?). This is the first time I've ever done this. So once I finished the active pills in my pack, I immediately started the active pills in a new pack the next day. Didn't have any issues until about a week later, when I started spotting quite a bit. The spotting lasted about a week, but wasn't too horrible and I've read that is normal when you try to continue your pills without a break. However, two weeks later I am now in my placebo week. I wanted to have a period as normal to get back on the normal schedule, but it is now five days in and I have no inkling of my period starting. I had sex once about three weeks ago but it was with a condom as well and we stopped before we really got started because my fiancé wasn't feeling well. So I doubt there is much of a risk of pregnancy here but it still freaks me out! Is it normal for skipping a period to completely throw your period off track to the point where you skip it completely this time unintentionally?
