Friend's boyfriend had to be admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotic treatment and was told he had a bacterial infection of his prostate , liver and stomach . Did one cause the rest ? I am in the medical field and she called to ask me what I thought , but it doesn't sound to me like the prostate should have anything to do with the liver or stomach . She is afraid he has an STD, and is just afraid to tell her . He presented with general malaise , nausea , and shoulder pain . He is around 60 years old, diabetic & overweight . Don't know any more medical history .
