I 'm very worried about the likelihood of being pregnant. I'm 18 years old and have just moved away to University for my first year about 3 months ago. I have since had a period on the 28th of September but haven't had one since. The two weeks after that period, I had protected sex 4 times (with a condom, that was properly packaged, held the tip, etc). They hadn't split because we checked with water all times to ensure this. I'm not on birth control myself as the last time I went on the combined pill it made me continuously vomit so I may be allergic to some of the hormones. My cycle is not naturally regular. The lengths can range from 32-80 days. I was under the impression that after a couple of years you were supposed to get more regular periods but it's been 6 years since I started and if anything, mine have just become more irregular and longer cycles.
I took a pregnancy test 3 weeks ago, which came back negative, and another a week ago, which also came back negative. I just don't see how I can be pregnant considering how careful we was, how I have no symptoms of pregnancy other than a missing period, and how can two pregnancy tests be wrong? (I've done the worse thing possible by searching on the Internet and some how managed to convince myself I'm pregnant because loads of people have had false negatives and they've still been pregnant). I know this is probably an irrational fear, it's just I'd like to definitely rule out pregnancy as I am 100% not ready for a child right now.
Once my period has finally arrived, I'm going to consider going on the mini pill as this may have less affects than the comined pill had on me. I guess what I'm asking is, is it safe to assume I'm not pregnant from all those negative pregnancy tests?
