I had a robotic surgery to correct my UPJ in August. My urologist said that I had a very unique case, which my obstruction covered 75% of my right kidney. My kidney was functioning about 30% so they decided to keep my kidney and try to correct the issues instead of removing it. The surgery was the worst, they did everything right but I was in so much pain. They removed some of my urethra that was affected by the obstruction, they cut me open about 7 to 8 times because my kidney was about an inch away than where it was supposed to be and they went through blood vessels, muscles and around tendons. I was out of work for about two months, I thought everything was good, they removed the stent in September, but today about 30 minutes ago my right side is in so much pain. I didn’t have any pain whatsoever until today. I’m waiting for my doctor to call me back, but I barely drink once in a blue moon, I eat healthy, exercise, I only drink water and now it seems like the surgery didn’t work. Has anybody else had this issue? Any suggestions? Because I seriously can’t keep living in so much pain.
