I’ve been experiencing periods for 5 years now, all of which have lasted 7 days and I am on a 28 day cycle. I had sex in December using a condom, and I am not on birth control, but we are very safe and cautious (WE DID NOT HAVE SEX WHEN I WAS OVULATING). My period was due on the 30th December, and that is when it started, however, it was extremely different to how my other periods have always been. I experienced major cramping, and dark brown blood throughout the day. On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th day, I experienced dark brown blood (a fair amount, not heavy and not light) and some bright red blood, mostly when I wiped. I’d say it was light the first day and got moderately heavier, until today, the fifth day, where I am seeing nothing at all. We have discussed that there is no possibility that I would be pregnant, but I still have not taken a pregnancy test, solely out of fear, although I understand it may be necessary. I have absolutely no symptoms of early pregnancy (nausea, food aversions, headaches, fatigue etc) and I feel as good as I always have. I’m just seeking some advice and wondering if anyone has every experienced this before and what this could be?
