My mom yelled and stated it felt as if the person giving the injection hit the bone, or a muscle or something. She was told it was nothing but the person giving the injection stopped.
Several weeks later she was convinced to go through with the 3rd and final injection. The ease of her pain following the injections was quite temporary.
Two weeks later she went back in and the same medical person decided to remove all fluid on her knee. That helped for a little longer period of time.
She has been back to the same specialist and her own physician and is now having physical therapy. Still, nothing is yet improving her pain, her motion of movement, or all of the swelling. My mother is 79, extremely depressed for the past 5 years since the loss of my father and has no interest in anything at all. The pain in her right knee plays 50% and the loss of my father plays the other 50% regarding any progress for her regarding her health.
I am so very afraid for her as well as for myself (thinking of her declining and giving up).
PLEASE HELP!
Regards,
Daughter on A Mission of Survival for her mom
