Would having a necrotic lymph node in you jaw area cause nausea and vomiting?

My 17 year old son has a area on his jaw line that his doctor said is a necrotic lymph node. The doctor says there is nothing we can do for it. My son is constantly nauseated and often vomiting. Could this be caused by the necrotic lymph node?
