Hi dr Sheila Dugan! saw your "Knee Swelling, What Does This Indicate?" video on youtube and I'm asking for help. I'm 21 yo male from Croatia. I played basketball and at age 17 inyured my left knee (broke my ACL). I had surgery and that knee is ok for now, but I have problem with right knee and weak quad muscles. During injury and recovery time my quad muscles got very weak and I lost 8 cm in size of those muscles. After ACL injury and surgery I walked on crutches and lean on my right leg. Although I do excercises my right (non injured knee) is constantly swollen and muscle just can't develop or grow back. If I'm standing 30 minutes on my legs or just walking 20 minutes, my knee swells. So in a year after injury and surgery I lost 8 cm of both quad muscles, went to rehabilitation which helped a little bit for left knee, but I just can't get rid of swelling in my right knee and can't regrow my quad muscles. my height is 190 cm and i weight 87 kg. Can you please help me with this issue? I would be very grateful if you can consult me in any way.
Thank you in advance! Greetings from Croatia!
