My daughter in law is due to be delivered of her child on 21/08/18. When she was about 12 she had a rod inserted in her scoliosis affected spine. She is a small person 5ft 2 in. I gather she cannot have an epidural. She was hopeful of delivery in a birthing pool. My fear is that normal delivery might adversely affect her spinal health/ break the rod or adversely affect her or the child.Are my fears groundless? I am hesitant to interfere or be perceived to be interfering but I worry .
