What is the proper exit dosage sequence over time for Trileptal 300mg and Lyrica 75mg in dealing with Trigeminal Neuralgia both separately and together?

Dear Doctor:
I read in some article that Trileptal and Lyrica patience should not stop the dosage cold turkey, and instead should phase out in practical decreasing dosage over time till zero. Am I correct ? or have been mislead? Thanks.
