Colposcopy showed some dysplasia. I had mild dysplasia in my early 20's, but nothing until now. Dr.'s options are 1. wait 6 months for another pap, 2. have the cervical area removed, or 3.have a hysterectomy. I called my long time Dr. (25 years) where I used to live (just moved last year) and he said if I was his Mother, he would advise the hysterectomy just so I don't have to worry about it any more. I'm concerned about physical problems with the pelvic floor in the future with a hysterectomy, if any. I'm done with menopause so that won't be an issue. I'm leaning toward option 2 but not sure if that is just delaying the inevitable hysterectomy.
