I've been using pads since I got my period 10 years ago. My period is generally very light and not really problematic, but it lasts for at least 7-8 days. I wanted to try tampons since I'll be moving to Singapore soon, but information about tampons here is terrible.
I first tried the Sofy applicator tampons, the only one available in stores, and when that didn't work, I switched to OB non applicator tampons. It worked well, I followed all the instructions and I really can't feel it.
But regardless of what I do, it seems that within an hour I'll find blood on the pad I double up with, but when I remove the tampon, it's only slightly full but there's blood on the string and such.
I'm at my wits end because I can't find any help, and my mother refuses to take me to a Ob/Gyn unless I have a serious health issue, and not getting a tampon to fit isn't considered "serious" since I can just give up and continue to use pads. I do want to make tampons work though if its possible, since the benefits are amazing and I can feel them, but I somehow can't make them work for me.
Please help.
