Hi,
An FYI for all who have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia for 15 years. By the time a Natuopath found out what I really had, Hypothyroidism, my adrenals were those of a 80 year old woman and I was a mess.
My paticular type was Wilson's Syndrome Hypothyroidism (not Wilson's Disease). It is one that does not show up on blood tests. It is a condition that results from a problem in the conversion of T4 to T3. This causes symptoms of decreased thyroid function but usuall normal blood test results. Synthroid is usually not a good choice, Armour Thyroid is better.
Many symptoms of Fibromyalgia are exactly the same as Hypothyroidism so just be aware. An easy way to check=take your temperature each AM but in a special way, while lying in bed just after waking up and not moving around in bed, slowly reach for the thermometer on the bedside table and take you temperature. Do this for a month and record it. If it is consistantly low you most likely have Hypothyroidism. I found I had an AM temp. of 92!
