Consume a Healthy Diet
Developing good eating habits is important to live well with psoriasis. Establish a schedule to eat several small meals each day, which can keep you from getting hungry. Eat a balanced diet of whole-grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat sources of protein. Maintain a healthy weight. Work with your physician to determine your healthy weight. Watch food portions, use sugar and salt in moderation and limit your consumption of foods high in fat and cholesterol. Be careful of foods that may interact with your medications. Limit alcohol consumption because alcohol can negatively interact with certain medications. Quit smoking.
