Did you know that having sex with your honey can do more for you than just bring you both closer? A Women’s Health article, “The Health Benefits of Sex” outlined several good reasons to strip down for a good roll in the hay tonight before the shut-eye.

Some of the benefits include reduced stress, better sleep, less pain (such as headache), less colds, a healthy glow, more toned muscles, lighter periods and decreased cramps.

Many of the benefits stem from the endorphins released in the brain when engaging in intimacy and when you climax. Endorphins are natural pain relievers and stress fighters in the body, and regulate the release of hormones from the pituitary gland.

With all the benefits of sex, it’s still important to be safe. If not in a monogamous relationship, use condoms or other contraception to avoid unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease or infection.
