While in my mid to late 40's I began to suffer with symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Being a Chiropractor and knowing that I would not resort to drugs I began seeking alternative remedies such as homeopathic and dietary changes. Both helped considerably although I found that the homeopathic remedies seemed to bring it out more, which, obviously, I did not like. Once menopause began to brighten my life; all kinds of things started happening to my body and my mind. From continuous hot flashes, weight gain, insomnia, anxiety and apathy to increased pain and swelling. That was when I started to study the effects of hormonal dys-regulation on the body and mind. I found it so fascinating that I began professional studying and applying - whole food nutrition, herbal, and bio-identical protocols to my specific needs. I am happy to say that I am symptom free, except for an occasional reminder when I am bad. No pain, swelling, hot flashes, anxiety or other symptoms of hormonal dys-regulation. I love the alternatives:)

Inspiration

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you'll never walk alone. Audrey Hepburn
