Dr. Doris Taylor is a professor at the Stem Cell Institute at the University of Minnesota. As the Medtronic-Bakken Chair in Cardiac Repair and the Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Repair, Dr. Taylor blends research using stem cells, genes, and devices to develop novel cardiac and vascular technologies--ones to prevent, treat, and hopefully one day, cure heart ailments. She is involved in both laboratory and clinical studies using cell therapy to treat disease. Dr. Taylor received her B.S. in biology from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS and her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.
