At least once a day (sometimes 2-3), I experience a an intense surge of heat that remains localized in my midriff area and emanates from within out through to the surface of my skin. At the time of the slow surge, if I put my hand on my bare midriff, I can feel the hot spot. It is not painful nor uncomfortable nor is it a hot flash. It only lasts about 5-10 seconds, and it does not cause me to perspire. You could say it's almost soothing; but it is very odd, and I no of no one that has ever experienced the same thing. This phenomenon has been ongoing for about 3 years. I am not menopausal and am not overweight. Could it be the body's ways of releasing internal stress, though I don't necessarily feel stressed? I'd love to know your thoughts.
