Need information regarding a sticky/thick fluid in the lining of the lung that is not responding to a drain in the back. Does this require surgery to remove the fluid?

I have to get up three to four times during the night to go to the bathroom. I also have to void at least 6 times during the day. I'm 69 years old and have been very healthy. I'm a bit concerned ...
