This week we saw a wide variety of questions come into our community. Women asked about severe pain during pregnancy, losing weight and safe body temperatures. Our moderators provided resources and answers to these health questions as well as many others. Do you have a health question you need an answer for? Post it to our community, and we promise to respond within 24 hours.

Here are some of our top ASKs in the EmpowHER community this week.

1. I have low cortisol and have gained weight, what type of diet and foods can help prevent the weight gain?

A: You need to focus on fresh foods, not anything out of a packet or a box. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables every day and don't use fatty dips like ranch dressing. Hummus is a better option. Stick to lean meats and grill everything, don't use the frying pan! Cook with coconut or olive oil. Read the full answer here.

2. I have a lump in my right breast, is there a way I can remove it without getting a surgery?

A: Cryoablation is a technology that is being used for breast fibroadenomas. The process uses intense cold to kill fibroadenomas. Instead of removing a fibroadenoma with a traditional lumpectomy, cryoablation simply freezes the lump to death so that healthy tissue can take its place. Read the full answer here.

3. I have constant, extreme pain while 7 months pregnant. What is the cause?

A: The pain you are talking about sounds like sciatic pain which can be excruciating. I had it myself when pregnant and would literally shriek out with the pain when it bolted down my back into my legs. Don't overdo the Tylenol, it's not good for your liver. Read the full answer here.

4. How do I know if I have Microscopic Colitis or Habba syndrome?

A: Any experts classify IBS into three types: diarrhea-predominant, constipation-predominant or a mix of the two. The American Gastroenterological Association also mentions IBS-alternate, in which diarrhea and constipation alternate over time, and IBS-unspecified, in which there is no clear pattern. 5. My body temperature is sometimes 96 or 95, is this a safe level or should I see a doctor?

A: A temperature of 96 is not necessarily something to worry about but 95 is quite low and heading toward hypothermia. There are many reasons for a body temperature to be low (excluding weather elements/no having heating in the home) including diabetes, stress, kidney problems or thyroid problems. I think it's a good idea to talk to your doctor about this on your next visit. Read the full answer here.
