You might be trying to stay away from sweets, but then you get that craving. Sometimes it's okay to indulge a little.

These three recipes may make the difference so you don't go to a fast food restaurant and grab the easy but questionable dessert, break out the just-in-case pint of ice cream in the freezer, or buy the extravagant item at the end of dinner. These recipes are simple so you know exactly what is in them. You can almost count the ingredients for each on one hand.

Here are some simple recipes you can easily whip up:

Stove-top Kettle Corn

Ingredients:

⅓ cup kernels
2 tbsp. coconut oil
¼ cup sugar
Salt to taste

Instructions:

In a covered pot heat up the oil with one kernel inside. When the one kernel pops pour in the rest of the kernels in and sprinkle the sugar as evenly as possible. I use a sugar substitute such as Splenda.

Wait for all kernels to pop, but watch out because the sugar burns quickly. Pour the popcorn into a bowl and sprinkle salt to taste. Enjoy!

Brownie In a Mug

Ingredients:

¼ cup flour
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
a dash of cinnamon and salt
¼ cup water
2 tbsp. oil
1 drop of vanilla extract

Instructions:

Put all the dry ingredients in the mug. Mix them up well. Add all the wet ingredients and stir them with the spoon. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the mug and stuff of the spoon, flour likes to collect there and not mix with the other ingredients.

Microwave for 1 minute 40 seconds. Pour another mug of milk or place a scoop of ice cream on top and enjoy.

3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookie

Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter
1cup sugar
1 egg

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease the pan. Combine the ingredients and mix until smooth. Drop by the spoonful onto the baking sheet. Use a fork to make the cross marks. Bake for 6-8 minutes.

Take them out and let them cool for five minutes before eating.
