It's like i can't stand to hold my neck up for too long. No matter what i am doing, my neck clicks. I am 53 and never experienced anything like this until after the car accident. I was sitting at a red light and a car, well two cars hit the car I was in going 65 mph. I went forward and came back very hard on the head rest.

I am so sorry...this sounds very scary!
Can you tell us more about what happened, specifically after your car accident, I assume you went to the hospital?
Did you have any tests done, X-rays taken, medical evaluations, etc? What were the results of these?
Have you follow-up with your primary doctor, and/or have had any treatments since your car accident? How long ago was the accident?

Hello there Alison,
Well the accident was on June 8th 2010 and yes they took me to the emergency room because when i tried to get out of the car, i could not move my legs or anything. At the emergency room they did a Cat scan and said that there was nothing broken and that i was going to be sore for a few days. But for the next two days i was unable to move at all, i remained in my bed and went to my doctor as soon as i was able. She told me that i might need a soft collar and to go and see a spin doctor. I went to the spin doctor about two weeks ago and told him everything that was going on with my neck and he told me that it sounded like i may have a disc out of place that he would need to see a MRI and x-rays of my neck. I will be going back to see him on the 19th of this month, but i feel he really needed to check them sooner. This is getting worse and it feels so bad, it goes on all day every day and it's making me feel really really bad,

Did this ever go away or get better for you? If so, what helped?
